2023 Funding Calendar

The Encantado Foundation is pleased to announce the opening dates and deadlines for its competitive funding cycles. The Foundation will offer three funding cycles in support of our digital workforce mission. One Impact Grant funding opportunity and two Community Based Grant funding opportunities will be available in 2023.

Impact Grants

The Impact Grant funding cycle will:

Open on Wednesday, February 8th and accept applications through Friday, March 24th.

Impact Grants—funded between $50,000-$200,000—will be awarded to nonprofit organizations in good standing with proven success in one or more of the following areas:

  • Programs that generate quality job candidates for STEM careers in cybersecurity, IT operations, and application management and development;
  • Initiatives that create opportunities for professional development including hands-on training through internships, mentorships, and apprenticeships in STEM fields;
  • Work done with new graduates, returning students and working learners in developing skills and securing certifications and licensures that will lead to a career in STEM jobs; and;
  • Previous outreach to under-represented populations in Tech careers, including women, persons of color, Native Americans and individuals with physical limitations.

Community Based Grants

The Community Based Grant funding cycles will open in late Spring and early Fall. Grant awards will be up to $5,000.

The Foundation will open and accept Community Based Grant nominations:

May 1st through June 1st
October 1st through November 1st

Community Based Grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations focused on increasing access to STEM careers, training, and awareness via programming, operational support, and/or special events
