The Impact Grant program is an open, competitive funding opportunity for charitable, nonprofit organizations and/or fiscally sponsored projects that posses a multi-year track record of preparing quality job candidates for careers in the Foundation’s priority areas, which includes: cybersecurity, application development & management, and/or IT operations. This funding opportunity prioritizes efforts located in Central and Northern New Mexico, specifically Socorro, Valencia, Bernalillo, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Los Alamos counties. Grant awards are available between $50,000-$200,000 and may be implemented over 12-24 months.

Impact Grant funding supports:

  • Programs that generate quality job candidates in STEM careers, specifically–cybersecurity, app development & management, and/or IT operations;
  • Initiatives that create opportunities for professional development including hands-on training through internships, mentorships, and apprenticeships in the Foundation’s career focus areas;
  • Work done with new graduates, returning students, and working learners seeking to develop new skills by securing certifications or licensures, which will lead to careers in STEM-related technology jobs; and
  • Previous outreach to under-represented populations who wish to participate in the digital workforce, including women, persons of color, Native Americans, and those with physical limitations.
