Louis Jeantete has over 19 years of collective, community-focused outreach work experience with nonprofit organizations as a grant maker, fundraiser, trainer, facilitator, consultant and civic leader in New Mexico. Louis was promoted to serve as The Encantado Foundation’s Executive Director in April 2024. He previously served as the Foundation’s Program Manager, where he designed and managed the selection process for awarding charitable grants through its signature grantmaking programs. Louis holds an interdisciplinary, Master of Science degree in Nonprofit/NGO Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice.
Louis volunteers with the Taos Pueblo Foundation Board of Directors and currently serves as its Treasurer. He gives back to his alma mater by serving as the Alumni Engagement Community Co-Chair with the University of Pennsylvania’s Nonprofit Leadership Alumni Association. He served as Taos Milagro Rotary Club’s President in 2020-2021. Louis is currently pursuing a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy’s Fundraising School & IU’s Executive Education at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
