Executive Director - Louis Jeantete

Louis Jeantete has over 19 years of collective, community-focused outreach work experience with nonprofit organizations as a grant maker, fundraiser, trainer, facilitator, consultant and civic leader in New Mexico. Louis was promoted to serve as The Encantado Foundation’s Executive Director in April 2024. He previously served as the Foundation’s Program Manager, where he designed and managed the selection process for awarding charitable grants through its signature grantmaking programs. Louis holds an interdisciplinary, Master of Science degree in Nonprofit/NGO Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice.

Louis is currently an Albuquerque Workforce Leadership Academy Fellow with The Aspen Institute’s Economic Opportunities Program, City of Albuquerque, and CNM. Louis has previously served on the Board of Directors with Taos Pueblo Foundation, Taos Milagro Rotary Club, and Rocky Mountain Youth Corps.  He also served as Taos Milagro Rotary Club’s President in 2020-2021. Louis is currently pursuing a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy’s Fundraising School & IU’s Executive Education at the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Program Manager - Leanna McClure

Leanna McClure – Oglala Lakota and Mescalero Apache – is an accomplished leader in instruction, non-profit programming, and curricula design. Ms. McClure is a doctoral candidate of Educational Leadership and Organizational Transformation through Northeastern University. She holds an undergraduate degree in Ethnic Studies and Anthropology and two Master degrees from Willamette University, in additional to a Diagnostician Certification through the University of New Mexico. Originally from Pecos, NM, Leanna’s work is grounded in Indigenous epistemologies and a deep commitment to equity, healing, and self-determination for BIPOC and underrepresented communities.

McClure is the Founder and CEO of Kiksuyapi Collective which advances educational, community wellness, and systems change through intergenerational, land-based, and culturally grounded programming. Leanna served as STEM Santa Fe’s Executive Director, as the Program Manager for The Food Depot, and as Tribal Liaison and Ambassador Fellow with the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. She worked as Community and Curricula Project Manager for the Indian Education Curriculum Initiative of NM and as Intervention and Assessment Coordinator for Kha’p’o Community School (KCS) of Santa Clara Pueblo. She also taught as a Special Education and Math teacher at KCS, the Santa Fe Indian School, and Von Tobel Middle School in Las Vegas, NM and as a Language Arts and History teacher at Chemawa Indian School in Salem, OR. Since 2008, McClure has worked with youth, being passionate about culturally-grounded, equitable access to learning for all.

In her role as Program Manager at the Encantado Foundation, Leanna looks forward to advancing philanthropic support that fuels STEM education and workforce development across New Mexico. She is committed to building a more inclusive ecosystem that empowers youth, educators, and emerging professionals to lead in their own communities.
