Advancing STEM access, opportunities, and career pathways through Community Based Grants
The Encantado Foundation is thrilled to announce $30,000 in Community Based Grant awards to seven organizations serving Central and Northern New Mexico. Collectively, organizations funded during this recent competitive grant cycle will provide the following types of programs and services: robotics competition support; hands-on STEM curriculum for 3D printing design projects; participation in the NM Governor’s STEM Challenge; math-focused, educator professional development; operational support for a STEAM Center of Excellence; bridging information exchanges between STEM employers and prospective candidates through an enhanced online, career portal; and instructional and travel support for an Apprenticeship Program for Girls, which provides hands-on learning opportunities for career pathways in STEM fields.
The Community Based Grant funding program offers competitive grants to organizations that increase access to STEM learning opportunities and career pathways.
